COVID-19 UPDATE: RETURN OF INDOOR PERSONAL TRAINING SESSIONS
I am delighted to advise that as of the week beginning Monday 27th July, indoor Personal Training sessions can resume.
This is following guidance released by The Chartered Institute of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), advice from my insurers and following the completion of a detailed risk assessment.
I want to reassure all clients that the appropriate safety measures and precautions will be in place to minimise the spread of the virus and as such I have completed CIMSPA/Sport England ReActivate Covid-19 return to work training and will be implementing the best practice guidance from this.
Clients will be advised prior to their sessions resuming/or at the outset for new clients of the specific safety measures that will be put into place, but the measures relate to;
- Cleaning Equipment and Handwashing
- Social Distancing
- Personal Protective Equipment/Face Coverings
One of the most important things to note is that it is vital that you immediately cancel your session should you be displaying any of the COVID-19 symptoms; a high temperature (chest or back feels hot to the touch), a new continuous cough (coughing a lot for more than an hour or three coughing episodes over 24 hours), the loss of, or a change in your sense of smell or taste. During this period, I will be waiving my short notice cancellation policy in relation to cancellations resulting from these symptoms so please do not worry about losing a session because of this. It is much better to be safe than sorry.
I am so looking forward to seeing all of my clients again and to welcoming new ones, now more than ever we need to focus on our health, fitness and wellbeing. I will endeavour to make your sessions as enjoyable as possible and for them to feel ‘normal’ despite the extra safety precautions.
