Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. You will not get the benefit of all of the hard work you put into your Personal Training session and other activities that we programme if your diet is not giving you the nutrients that you need or the right amount of energy.
When I refer to diet I mean this dictionary definition ‘the kinds of food that a person habitually eats’ and not this dictionary definition ‘restrict oneself to small amounts of food in order to lose weight’. For me habitually is the key word here. I advocate balance, realism and long term healthy lifestyle changes that become habit so that you can enjoy a delicious range of healthy foods that make you feel energised, satiated and nourished rather than opting for a short term restrictive diet which all to often ends in failure.
As part of your Personal Training package, you will be asked to complete a food diary. This is entirely optional but highly recommended. Using this information I will conduct nutritional analysis to ensure you are getting a healthy balance across all the nutrient groups. We can then discuss strategies to help you achieve the right balance which I will support with advice, recipes and plenty of encouragement!
